Our new library wing adds a bright reading hall, a children's corner, a digital catalog, and 2,000 new titles, bringing the collection to over 8,000 books.
Greenfield Public School inaugurated its new library wing this week, adding 2,000 new books and bringing our total collection to more than 8,000 titles. The wing features a bright, quiet reading hall, a colorful children's corner for our primary students, dedicated study tables for Matric students, and a digital catalog that lets students search for books by title, author, or subject.
The new collection includes English and Urdu fiction, science and history reference books, biographies, and a growing section on technology and careers. Every class now has a weekly library period, and students can borrow up to two books at a time. A reading challenge launched alongside the inauguration encourages students to read at least one book every two weeks.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Principal Dr. Nadia Rehman said that a love of reading is one of the most valuable gifts a school can give a child. The library is open throughout the school day, and parents are welcome to donate gently used books in good condition. We thank our families and alumni whose generous contributions helped make the library wing possible.
